Automated Securities Lending Programme

The Automated Securities Lending Programme is a dedicated settlement management service that provides automated lending of domestic and foreign securities traded on the German market. This prevents failures at the end of every settlement day and the enhancement of the overall settlement effiency.

Clearstream acts as the agent between lender and borrower and performs all administrative and settlement functions. These include automatic determination of the individual borrowing need, margining, collateralisation, as well as comprehensive and transparent reporting.
