Vestima is an open order routing platform, giving customers the freedom to choose to settle and hold assets with Clearstream or any other custody provider.

This flexibility enables any market participant to process funds as efficiently as other financial instruments, leveraging existing and already used infrastructures in every part of the value chain.

Centralised settlement

Centralised settlement for fund units is an integral service of Vestima. Thanks to our central hub solution, transactions are settled in exactly the same way wherever the fund is domiciled.

Simple
Vestima enables you to settle and reconcile investment funds as simply and efficiently as equities and bonds. Thanks to our integrated post trade activities, you can use the same interface and follow the same set of procedures for all asset classes.

DVP settlement
Well adapted to the specifities of fund shares, Vestima streamlines processes and mitigates operational risk. It offers DVP (delivery versus payment) settlement based on synchronous exchange of cash and fund units in SWIFT message formats between fund distributors, custodians and transfer agents. The exchange of securities is processed in a controlled environment whether it is for DVPs or Pre-Paid.

One account
You can settle all your fund-related trades orders from one single account rather than holding fund shares in separate accounts at each fund agent. Single account settlement allows netting out cash flows. You can net off your cash and send one instruction per currency instead of sending many instructions.

Customers benefit from seamless interoperability between international and domestic markets.

In addition to settlement in commercial bank money via our ICSD, the Vestima also offers fund settlement in central bank money via Deutsche Börse Group’s CSDs.

Custody

Clearstream also offers a wide range of custody services for investment funds.

Customers benefit from secure and reliable asset safekeeping with industry leading event management support, including the notification and handling of corporate actions, dividend payments and dividend re-investments. Consolidated reporting allows them to streamline reconciliation.
