Clearstream ensures delivery versus payment settlement, based on a synchronous exchange of cash and securities between Fund Distributors, Custodians and Transfer Agents.

The processing risk inherent in the current process of separating cash and securities settlement is therefore significantly reduced.

Automatic settlement enables Fund Providers to specify that a transaction is to be automatically generated by Clearstream once the order is executed. This adds settlement to the straight-through processing environment, eliminating the risk of errors associated with manual settlement.

Custody

Clearstream also offers Fund Providers with a wide range of custody services for investment funds.

Fund Providers benefit from secure and reliable asset safekeeping with industry leading event management support, including the notification and handling of corporate actions, dividend payments and dividend re-investments. And consolidated reporting allows reconciliation processes to be streamlined.
