Turkey: Rights trading no longer possible via Clearstream or its local sub-custodian


Clearstream Banking 1 wishes to inform its customers that effective


Clearstream can no longer accept customer instructions to execute sales or purchases of rights via its local sub-custodian. This is detailed in Article 60-(3) of Communiqué III-37.1 of the Capital Markets Law.

Impact on customers 

MT564 Corporate Action Notification messages for rights issues will no longer include the sale option.

Customers must instruct sales or purchases of rights via an international broker with a link to a local Turkish broker, or directly with a local Turkish broker.
