New Zealand: Debt securities: Relief at source and Standard refund – New certificates

we would like to notify our customers that the following new forms, to be used by customers of Clearstream Banking1 for obtaining relief at source and standard refund on New Zealand debt securities, are available on the Clearstream website.

New official forms

One-Time Certification for New Zealand Government Debt Securities and other New Zealand Domestic Debt Securities governed by the Approved Issuer Levy Regime, replacing the old version of the“One-Time Certification for New Zealand Government Debt Securities and other New Zealand Domestic Debt Securities governed by the Approved Issuer Levy regime”; and

One-Time Certification for Non-Resident Withholding Tax (NRWT) Regime on New Zealand Domestic Debt Securities, replacing the “Tax Certificate for Non-Resident Withholding Tax (NRWT) Regime on New Zealand Debt Securities”.

Impact on customers

The previous version of the “One-Time Certification for New Zealand Government Debt Securities and other New Zealand Domestic Debt Securities governed by the Approved Issuer Levy regime” and “Tax Certificate for Non-Resident Withholding Tax (NRWT) Regime on New Zealand Debt Securities” already in place remain valid but, customers are requested to submit the new versions of the One-Time Certifications for future certification requirements.
