VestimaPRIME: Two-factor authentication and transaction signing function

This announcement is applicable to Singapore based customers whose use of the VestimaPRIME service suite is subject to the supervision of the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

To comply with the Technology Risk Management guidelines (Guidelines) defined by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, Clearstream Banking1 would like to inform customers that the VestimaPRIME browser will be enhanced with two new optional functions:

  • Two-factor authentication (2FA) at login; and
  • Digital signing for authorising critical transactions, effective 9 December 2017, for all Singapore based customers.

We recommend customers to migrate to 2FA at login and digital signing as part of the Guidelines.

For users who do not have a smartcard and reader, please contact the Client Services team to request one. For customers with an existing smartcard, please ensure that the Xact certificate is installed in it.

Digital signing will be applicable for all critical transactions such as subscriptions, redemptions, free receive, free deliver, switches, internal transfers, amendments and cancellations, regardless of the value of the transaction.

VestimaPRIME users based in locations other than Singapore will not be required to implement any changes.

Further details about the software requirements and the downloads to install the Xact smartcards and the VestimaPRIME Digital Signing User Guide are included in the attachments below.
