Norway: Change of operator


Further to the decision of DNB Bank ASA, Oslo, to exit the sub-custody business activity, Clearstream Banking1 is pleased to announce the appointment of Danske Bank as its new account operator in Norway.

Effective settlement date

30 November 2018

Danske Bank A/S will operate the direct account of Clearstream Banking at the Norwegian Central Securities Depository, Verdipapirsentralen ASA.

Impact on customers

Clearstream Banking’s link to Norway is currently operated by DNB Bank ASA, Oslo. The change of operator will not affect customer assets, that remain in CBL’s account at the Norwegian CSD, VPS. The current securities service offering will be maintained by the new operator, Danske Bank.

DNB Bank ASA will remain Clearstream Banking’s cash correspondent bank for the Norwegian Krone (NOK).
