Clearstream Banking AG, Frankfurt1 informs customers about the securities settlement activities on the additional German public holiday

Tuesday, 31 October 2017

In light of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation Day, a public holiday has been announced.

General framework on processing day

With the migration to TARGET2-Securities (T2S), CBF follows the T2S processing day and related T2S holiday calendar.

On T2S, the 31 October 2017, is a regular processing day. In addition, the TARGET2 (T2) cash system will be open. As CBF is linked to both environments, CBF’s  regular processing cycles and services will be available on Reformation Day.

In CBF the procedures that are applicable on 3 October of each year, the Day of German Unity, will be applicable, too. That means for example, that all pending instructions resulting from the various business cases with an Intended Settlement Day (ISD) on 31 October 2017 or earlier will be processed as defined by T2S.

In addition, for the liquidity management the 31 October 2017 will be a regular settlement day. The standing orders set up in T2 are processed and the related cash services are available. If customers did not set up standing orders in T2 or CBF or do not use automated procedures so far additional actions might have to be considered. This might be also valid for the processing of corporate actions.

Availability of Client Services

On Tuesday, 31 October 2017, Clearstream Client Services can be reached during their regular service times.
