Deutsche Börse AG: Measures in the share register and in CASCADE-RS in December 2017
The following measures relating to the share register and collective safe custody (CSC) for registered shares of Deutsche Börse AG (ISIN DE0005810055) will be implemented in December 2017.
The following schedule applies:
- 7 December 2017
- Migration of the share register to the STARiS system and switch to the share register manager ADEUS Aktienregister-Service-GmbH;
- Allocation of the new shareholder numbers in the STARis share register.
- 9 December 2017
Transfer of the new shareholder numbers to CASCADE-RS.
- 11 December 2017
Availability of the new shareholder numbers in CASCADE-RS.
Migration of the share register
There will be a transmission stop during the course of the migration of the share register to STARiS from 5 December 2017 to 10 December 2017 inclusive. The next transmission to the share register will be implemented on 11 December 2017.
Starting from 11 December 2017, the entry and control of instructions for re-registration and registration will again be possible with the current re-registration/registration date.
Instructions transmitted to Clearstream Banking1 during the transmission stop will be forwarded to the share register on 11 December 2017.
Shareholder numbers in instructions
Banks that supply the respective shareholder number at re-registration/registration instructions in favour of the leading shareholder must use the new shareholder number starting from 11 December 2017. During re-registration/registration instructions in favour of the leading shareholder without submission of a shareholder number, CASCADE-RS adds the new shareholder number to the respective instruction, if there is correct and unique referencing of the securities holder (see below for additional information about this). In instructions (for example, shareholder data changes) that are still outstanding in CASCADE-RS, CBF replaces the previous shareholder number with the new shareholder number during the conversion.

Until the end of the migration phase (11 December 2017), banks can contact the following contacts at ADEUS, should they have any questions concerning migration (in addition to contacts at CBF):

Availability in CASCADE-RS

Recoding old/new shareholder numbers
Starting from 11 December 2017, holding queries (KVCB) can be requested using the new shareholder numbers.
Upon request, CBF also provides a conversion table per bank "Old/new shareholder numbers" in CSV format (solely per email) starting from 10 December 2017. The table contains the fields "Bank", "ISIN", "Customer reference" (GIT1 "Institute reference", GIT2 "Account reference"), the "Legal/natural person" indicator, birth date, "Additional identification", "Shareholder number" and "New shareholder number" per shareholder. A new shareholder number is allocated to every shareholder number in CASCADE-RS. Several data records can be contained in the conversion table per shareholder number, depending on the number of securities holders per customer reference. An example of such a file is is attached to this announcement. The conversion table can be requested formlessly until 4 December 2017 via email to email@example.com stating the bank number and the return email address. The table is free of charge for banks.
