The Clearstream hosted community session ‘The need for improving collateral mobility – HQLA as a driving force’ will address some major issues in today’s securities lending markets, such as the need for improving the mobility of liquidity across pools of collateral currently residing in disparate custody accounts.
Representatives from banks, custodians, market infrastructures and fintech will discuss how the need for a better HQLA management has further pushed initiatives that already substantially improve collateral mobility. One example is the latest innovative strategic partnership between Deutsche Börse Group and fintech firm HQLAx building a custody agnostic securities lending solution on the R3 Corda blockchain platform.
