Final wave successfully migrates to T2S
Over the last weekend, the fifth and final wave of migrations to the TARGET2-Securities (T2S) platform successfully took place, bringing to a culmination a project that has been a decade in the making. Throughout the pre-migration phase customers were always well prepared and fully supported all the necessary measures that allowed for the migration to run smoothly.
The Central Securities Depositories (CSDs) of Spain and the Baltics (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania) successfully migrated to T2S as part of this final wave migration. Clearstream’s existing links were also upgraded and during the entire migration project worked closely with its partners in these markets to ensure a smooth transition.
