T2S: Start OF NTS postponed to 21:00 CET until further notice
Current turbulences in the stock markets in Europe and worldwide are leading to an increase of securities settlement volumes in TARGET2-Securities (T2S). Under such extreme conditions the platform continues to operate normally with some slowdowns during the critical phases of the business day (End of Day, Start of Day and Night Time Settlement). Continuous efforts are being undertaken by the Eurosystem together with connected CSDs and NCBs with the aim to minimise the impacts from these events on the T2S Community during these turbulent times.
In order to provide predictability to the T2S participants on the completion of the business day, one of these measures envisages that the start of the NTS is temporarily moved from 20:00 to 21:00 CET from Tuesday, 24 March 2020 until further notice.
Clearstream will monitor the situation in close cooperation with the European Central Bank and will inform clients on any changes to the above.
