Poland: Market change impact on Shareholder Identification instructions

20.08.2021

Clearstream Banking1 would like to inform customers effective

immediately

of a change in Shareholder Identification format.

Background

Clearstream Banking’s agent in Poland (Bank Handlowy), has announced a change in process for Shareholder Identification instructions on the Polish market. Due to market changes, with immediate effect, Bank Handlowy has been required to stop sending ISO 20022 SWIFT messages.

This is a temporary change and a return to ISO 20022 SWIFT messages will take place during the course of 2022.

Impact on customers

Due to the above-mentioned changes Clearstream Banking will discontinue the sending of the Shareholder Identification related messages in ISO 20022 format and will continue to only send corporate action disclosure messages with DSCL event type in ISO 15022 format until the situation is resolved.

We are closely following the situation and will provide you with further information once it becomes available
