Indonesia: Reduction in the withholding tax rate on coupons
Clearstream Banking1 informs customers that with effect from
2 August 2021
the withholding tax rate will be reduced from 20% to 10% for coupons in Indonesian government bonds.
The Indonesian Government tax Regulation number 9, year 2021 contains measures aiming to facilitate business. Some provisions from this regulation includes reduction of maximum income tax rate from bond income.
Impact on customers
Coupons payments in government bonds processed from 2 August 2021 will be paid with a 10% withholding tax rate.
