Mexico: Direct access to the Mexican CSD Indeval - Migration of assets to a new account - postponed
Note: This announcement, originally published on 21 November 2018 and updated on 26 November, has been updated to inform customers that Clearstream Banking will no longer be moving the assets from Citibanamex third party account to a direct account at the Mexican CSD Indeval on 10 December 2018. Please refer to Announcement A18170.

Clearstream Banking1 will enhance its Mexican link by moving the assets from Citibanamex third party account to a direct account at the Mexican CSD Indeval.
This direct account will be operated by our agent on the Mexican market Citibanamex.
This is in order to ensure compliance with CSDR and provide better protection of customer assets.
Impact on customers
The instruction formats, reporting and service level will not change for customers.
Allowed countervalue difference
Allowed settlement countervalue difference changes to MXN 50.
Securities will be migrated after the customer instruction deadlines.
All pending instructions, including matched instructions, at close of business Friday 7 December 2018 will automatically be cancelled and customers and their respective counterparties will have to reinstruct after the successful completion of the migration on Monday morning 10 December 2018 with the new account details.
Customers are requested to provide their settlement instructions with requested settlement date on or after Monday 10 December 2018 only from 9 December 2018.
Instruction specifications for Xact via SWIFT, Xact File Transfer, CreationOnline and Xact Web Portal remain unchanged.
Procedure for domestic counterparties
Please advise your domestic counterparties to instruct to receive or deliver their securities for settlement date 10 December 2018 and onwards as follows:
Deliver to/from: Clearstream Banking S.A
Account in Indeval (Mexican CSD): 03 041 0102
In favour of: name and account number of CBL customer
Domestic counterparties that are Citibanamex clients must quote the broker code 5402 in their instructions instead of the above mentioned Clearstream Banking's account at Indeval.
