Income process and payment methods for paying agents with foreign currency positions held in CSC - Update

Note: This Announcement, originally published on 11 November 2013, 17 March 2014 and 14 April 2014 was updated to change the cash correspondent bank for NZD to ANZ Bank New Zealand Limited.

This is a description of Clearstream Banking’s¹ current entire process for paying agents.

Payment instruction for the income process for foreign currencies

Paying agents that hold foreign currency positions in collective safe custody (CSC) are requested to comply with the following instructions as there is no collection by Clearstream Banking. Instead, the corresponding foreign currency amount must be credited to one of the listed accounts (see “Cash correspondent banks” below).

Payment instructions must be entered at the latest at 13:00 CET one business day before the CBF record date. This must be done via email to Income-FCSC@clearstream.com containing the following information:

• WKN or ISIN;
• Total nominal;
• Distribution currency;
• Distribution rate per share;
• Total distribution amount;
• Possible tax deduction;
• Ex date/record date;
• Payment date.

Fees

If the abovementioned deadline is not met or there is a cancellation afterwards, fees may apply. For further information, please refer to section 5.3 “Services for custody events, proxy voting and tax administration” of the current Domestic Fee Schedule.

Note: To simplify allocation of cash received and in-house reconciliation, please indicate the WKN or ISIN and the department "PIC" in the note to the payee of the payment instruction in question.

Deduction function for the income process for foreign currencies

For deductions, either the indicated or the complete own positions are excluded from the distribution process by transfer to a sub-account xxxx/650. The amount to be transferred to the cash correspondent bank (CCB) of CBF can be reduced as a result. Alternatively, Clearstream can carry out the deduction manually. To this end, Clearstream must be notified via email to Income-FCSC@clearstream.com by 13:00 CET on the CBF record date at the latest.

Fees

With the use of the CASCADE function "KDAV" by the paying agent, a fee is charged. For further information, please refer to section 5.3 “Services for custody events, proxy voting and tax administration” of the current Domestic Fee Schedule.

If Clearstream Banking receives the order to enter the deduction manually for the paying agent, a manual handling fee is charged instead. For further information, please refer to chapter 11 “Miscellaneous charges” of the current Domestic Fee Schedule.
