On 1 March 2018, the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) published new Technical Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) regarding the International Data Exchange Services (IDES) system.

The new IDES FAQs mainly provide further guidance on the FATCA XML Schema to be used for FATCA reporting.

We continue to monitor the situation and will provide further information as it becomes available.
