Further to our previous Announcement A17183, Clearstream Banking1 informs customers that from

14 May 2018

the default login of CreationOnline (https://www.creationconnect.com) will be with Java Web Start.

Java Web Start was implemented following Oracle’s announcement to decommission Java applets.

Click on “Login to CreationOnline (Java Web Start)”

CreationOnline will be launched in a separate window:

Web Start brings the following advantages compared to Applets :

  • can be launched from any browser or saved locally and launched without a browser.
  • The applet browser plugin-in can be removed/de-activated for additional browser security

The switch from Applet to Web Start is completely transparent for the user. The same login and password are used, the application runs in exactly the same way and the functionalities do not change..

End of Java 7 support

We would also like to inform customers that from

November 2018

Clearstream Banking will officially stop Java 7 support for CreationOnline. Java 7 support will be in line with Oracle’s announcement to stop public updates after April 2015.

Customers are reminded that outdated Java versions are no longer tested by Clearstream Banking, and are therefore not guaranteed to work and not supported.
