Proxy Voting: New manual handling fee for CASCADE-RS re-registration

Effective

1. January 2017

Clearstream Banking  will apply a manual handling fee for the manual re-registration of CASCADE-RS securities. The fee will apply as shown in the Fee Schedule as updated from time to time.

Background

Manual re-registration by Clearstream Banking is only required for proxy voting orders in CASCADE-RS securities, where the customer itself has not performed the re-registration using Clearstream Banking´s CASCADE-RS service prior to sending the proxy voting order. This also applies to orders sent on the customer`s behalf by a proxy voting provider.
In such instances, Clearstream Banking manually enters the re-registration instructions for the relevant position to the registrar on behalf of the customer to execute the proxy voting order.
The manual handling fee will be applied in addition to the Proxy Voting Services fee.
The de-registration is automatically initiated by Clearstream Banking on the day after the company´s general meeting and remains free of charge.
