Information on CASCADE Registered Shares Services – Update

02.04.2024

Note: This Announcement, originally published on 28 March 2024, has been amended to include a guideline for completing the CIP template.

Clearstream Banking1 informs CASCADE-RS clients about its obligation to perform regular anti-money laundering (AML) identification under sections 10 (1) and 11 (1) Geldwäschegesetz (GwG, German Money Laundering Act), as well as know-your-customer (KYC) reviews.

All affected clients will receive additional information in a separate letter at the beginning of April.

Impact on clients

To perform the necessary AML identification, and to allow for the continuation of the contractual relationships, Clearstream Banking requests clients to complete the Client Identification Programme (CIP) template attached below.

Please complete the document and send it to registeredshares@clearstream.com at the latest by 26 April 2024.

Note: Clearstream Banking is required to validate the signed CIP template against the signature list filed with Clearstream Banking. If the previously provided signature list is older than three years, clients are recommended to provide an updated list of authorised signatures. Please use the attached Client Specimen Signature Form for this purpose and send it to the above-mentioned email address.
