Google Cloud

In 2023, Deutsche Börse Group and Google Cloud announced a strategic partnership to innovate, transform and economize financial markets based on their cloud capabilities. Specifically, Deutsche Börse Group will leverage Google Cloud’s secure infrastructure and leading data and analytics capabilities to accelerate the development of the D7^® digital platform.

This partnership also supports ongoing innovation within Deutsche Börse Group’s digital asset business with an institutional-grade offering, including Clearstream's collaboration with Crypto Finance (Deutschland) GmbH as a sub-custodian for crypto assets.

Together with Luxembourg fintech HQLAx, which specializes in providing solutions for liquidity and collateral management on the international securities lending and repo markets, Deutsche Börse has developed an innovative model based on the distributed-ledger technology for collateral swaps in securities lending. Clearstream is operating as one of several custodians within the scope of this partnership.

The Liquidity Alliance

Established in January 2013, The Liquidity Alliance aims at providing a platform for central securities depositories (CSDs) to collaborate on collateral management solutions addressing the growing domestic and global need for collateral. Its mission is to share information and ideas, creating opportunities for clients and the wider industry while promoting best practices in liquidity and collateral management.

To date, The Liquidity Alliance consists of the following members:

ASX, a financial infrastructure in Australia
B3, a financial market infrastructure in Brazil
Clearstream, the Germany-based Pan-European central securities depository and Luxembourg-based international central securities depository
Strate, the central securities depository in South Africa
TMX Group, a financial infrastructure in Canada

Ume

Clearstream is proud to be able to offer with Fund Centre a centralised 24 hours access through a digital platform to the required KYD information. Additionally, a standardised KYD due diligence questionnaire is made available and updated on a yearly basis with direct input from asset managers and in accordance with industry standards and applicable regulations. 

This digital solution is supported by our partnership with ume, a leading KYD platform. That partnership provides an open solution that can also be used by the Fund Centre participants to leverage the ume solutions for flows that are outside of the platform.

ISS ESG

Clearstream, Deutsche Börse’s post-trade services provider, has partnered with ISS ESG, the sustainable investment arm of ISS STOXX, which is also majority-owned by Deutsche Börse Group. This collaboration aims to enhance the sustainability data offering for fund distributors. ISS ESG ratings and packages will now be integrated into Clearstream’s new web-based fund distribution collaboration tool, Compass. This integration simplifies access to ESG information for fund distributors, enhancing fund selection, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
