Clearstream Banking1 is pleased to inform its customers that effective

17 July 2021

it will launch its new Vestima functionality called “Trading Availability Check”, which will allow all Vestima Order Issuers (OIs) to have a better visibility on funds that are ready to trade, and an improved time to market.

As a reminder, prior to placing a subscription order or transfer-in instruction, when there is no current holding on the OI’s account of the particular Investment Fund, the OI has to contact CBL to ensure the Investment Fund's availability to the OI for order routing and custody.

This process will be simplified as of mid-July: OIs will have the possibility to perform the eligibility assessment on Investment Funds directly on the Vestima web browser based interface. Any request to make a fund tradable on Vestima will be automatized through this new tool. The status of the submitted requests until its completion will be shown directly on the interface.

Timeline

As from 17 July 2021, Vestima OIs are strongly encouraged to use the Vestima Trading Availability Check tool to perform fund acceptance and Vestima eligibility checks and requests (transition period).

As from 1 January 2022, all requests should be handled exclusively via the Vestima Trading Availability Check tool.

Important note: Requests made via the Vestima web browser based interface will be prioritized2.

Prerequisite

Please note that this new functionality will not be accessible to customers that are still accessing Vestima via CreationOnline. Those customers are invited to migrate to the Xact Web Portal.
