CFCL: New Cash Correspondent Banks for EUR, USD, GBP, CHF and NOK - Update IV
Reference
Note: This announcement, originally published on 3 March 2025 and subsequently updated on 7 April 2025, 28 August 2025, and 4 February, has been further amended. This update reflects the removal of the AUD Cash Correspondent Bank, which is planned to be set up at a later stage and was one of the two currencies and Cash Correspondent Banks introduced in the last communication. All changes have been highlighted.
Clearstream Fund Centre1 informs clients that effective
30 June 2026
new Cash Correspondent Banks will operate for the following currencies:
Currency | Bank |
CHF | UBS AG, Zurich |
EUR (via T2S RTGS) | Banque centrale du Luxembourg |
GBP | HSBC Bank plc, London |
USD | JP Morgan Chase, New York |
NOK | DNB Bank ASA, Oslo |
The BIC and account numbers will be communicated in due course.
These new CCBs will facilitate cash-related transactions for CFCL clients, enhancing cash management operations in the Investment Fund Business.
Impact on clients
From 30 June 2026, the processing of cash messages using CBL CCBs or setting CBL as an intermediary for sending cash instructions in the above currencies will no longer be supported.
Connectivity (Swift):
The procedure for instructing cash transactions (deposits and withdrawals) will slightly change from CFCL's current practices.
CFCL will discontinue the use of CBL as an intermediary financial institution and its CCBs for those in scope currencies. Instead, CFCL will directly utilise its own CCBs directly to process cash transactions with their clients.
Note: All other currencies except the five (5) mentioned above will remain unaffected by the new CCBs set up and the messages will continue to be processed as they are today.
