Clearstream has won two awards at the Future of Finance Awards 2026, securing recognition in institutional custody innovation and European market infrastructure. The awards celebrate Clearstream's leadership in bridging traditional finance and digital asset services, as well as its role strengthening capital markets infrastructure across Europe.

Best Market Infrastructure in Europe

This category recognizes the institution that provides the most critical and comprehensive post-trade infrastructure across European capital markets, spanning settlement, custody, and collateral services across the broadest possible range of markets and asset classes.

Clearstream handles the majority of pan-European settlement volume through a single, integrated platform connecting 19 European markets and 60 markets globally.

Best Institutional Custody Innovation: TradFi-Crypto Convergence

This award recognizes the most significant structural advance in converging traditional and crypto custody into a single, operationally coherent offering for institutional clients.

Clearstream and Crypto Finance jointly received it for having built an architecture in which Clearstream clients can hold digital assets within their existing Clearstream account, with Crypto Finance operating as sub-custodian for those assets.

The significance of this structure lies in what it removes: the need for institutional clients to establish a separate relationship, open a separate account, or operate across a separate platform. For Clearstream’s global client base, access to digital asset custody is now a feature of the relationship they already have.
