U.S.A.: U.S. Taxable Securities - Additional column

Clearstream Europe AG¹ informs clients that the monthly U.S. Taxable Securities report published on the website will be enhanced through the introduction of a new Instrument Category Type column. Effective

Background

The list of U.S. taxable securities is published monthly on the Clearstream Europe website under Tax forms to use – U.S.A. – CBL and provides clients information regarding securities subject to U.S. taxation requirements.

With the aim of facilitating the identification of securities, Clearstream Europe will enhance the report by introducing a new column E “INSTRUMENT CATEGORY” that indicates the category of instrument associated with the security. The new field will be added to the existing U.S. Taxable Securities report generated on a monthly basis.

Impact on clients

This enhancement will:

• Facilitate client’s identification of the category associated with each security included in the report;
• Assist clients in the security classification and tax-related assessments.

The information provided in the U.S. Taxable Securities Report including the newly introduced Instrument Category Type is based on Clearstream Europe's interpretation of available information. It is provided for informational purposes only and should not be considered as tax, legal, or regulatory advice.
