Germany: Reporting enhancements due to the German Investment Tax Act Reform

Further to our Announcements D19021 and D17047, regarding the implementation of the new German Investment Tax Act “Investmentsteuergesetz; InvStG”, Clearstream Banking AG1 informs OneClearstream customers in detail about the impact on reporting for tax reclaim processing . The new reporting will be available from
24 June 2019

MT564 Claim and Reversal Advice (CRA)
In addition to details of a detected market and reverse market claim being subject to compensation by Clearstream, the MT564 Market claim and Reversal Advice will provide information to customers for the partial reversal notifications for CBF OneClearstream customers in the context of the German Investment Tax reform.
The report will be produced for all eligible events or for the events selected by customers upon subscription.
The code :23G:ADDB used in connection with :22F::ADDB//TAXR notifies a partial reversal in the context of the German Tax reform.
The code :23G:REPE used in connection with :22F::ADDB/TAXR notifies a partial repayment in the context of the German Tax reform.
MT566 Corporate Action Confirmation
The MT566 CA confirmation report will be updated to show partial repayment confirmations and partial reversal confirmations as follows:
- :23G:NEWM and :22F::ADDB//TAXR (Partial Reversal Confirmation or Partial Repayment Confirmation).
- The field :22F:: ADDB//TAXR (in sequence C) reports a Tax Refund.
- In case of a Partial Reversal Confirmation, the MT566 includes section A1 LINK and reports the SEME of the MT566 NEWM message being reversed in field :20C::PREV.
Xact Web Portal: Report scheduling of updated CRA
When scheduling the MT564 Market Claim and Reversal Advice, a new option ”Tax Refunds” will be available in addition to "Market Claims“ and ”Reversals”, if the selected entity is CBF.
”Tax Refund messages” are visible in the CA events query.
