U.S.A.: FATCA: U.S. Treasury publishes updated model FATCA Intergovernmental Agreements

On 1 December 2014, the U.S. Treasury published updates to the model Intergovernmental Agreements (IGAs) on their website.
The model IGAs are now divided into two sets:
- Model IGAs for jurisdictions that reached an agreement in substance on or before 30 June 2014; and
- Model IGAs for jurisdictions that reached an agreement in substance on or after 1 July 2014.
The model IGAs can be viewed under Model Intergovernmental Agreements (Model Agreements).
We continue to monitor the implementation of FATCA and will provide more information as it becomes available.
