Clearstream Banking1 informs customers that effective

13 June 2022

it will be possible to specify the BIC address to be reported in the section TO of the SRDII ISO 20022 seev.045/046 messages. 

Background

Currently the BIC address reported in the section TO is derived from the DN address used for the report subscription.

By updating the subscription in Xact Web Portal, it will be possible to enter a different BIC in the new field “Header to BIC” that will allow customers to further identify the recipient of the request.

Impact on customers

Entering a different BIC is optional. If left blank, current behaviour continues to apply.

Customers that have appointed a third party to receive SWIFT messages on their behalf may benefit from this change.

We kindly ask all customers with an active third-party provider to consider the new option in their message subscription.
