Future German Model on Corporate Action Cash Payments in T2S: Guided customer simulation

11.03.2020

The Clearstream Banking AG, Frankfurt1 service offering for the cash management via T2S using Dedicated Cash Accounts (DCAs) will be upgraded with the introduction of the Future German Model on Corporate Action Cash Payments in T2S. Customers will be able to separate payments for transactions in settlement, custody as well as their function as Main Paying Agent.

Allowing the usage of the additional DCAs, CBF provides new account opening forms for the registration and modification of the static data for a DCA. Customers interested to modify their settings in production can also request a modification of the DCA configuration in CBF’s customer simulation environment (IMS23). The participation in the simulation is optional and not a prerequisite for admission to production for the CBF Release and the introduction of the Future German Model on Corporate Action Cash Payments in T2S on Monday, 15 June 2020.

Customer simulation: Modification of settings

In the period from 4 May to 12 June 2020, CBF will offer a guided customer simulation. The CBF Customer Simulation Guideline will outline the related test cases (“Focus Days”) dedicated to the updated corporate action managed by CBF. This document will be published mid of March 2020.

Customers who plan to change their existing DCA setup in the customer simulation environment (IMS23), that is, add new DCAs or modify existing ones, can request this via the updated account opening forms. CBF will reflect this setup and consider the DCA configuration for the simulation phase.

Customers requesting a modification need to consider that the change in the settings requires a lead time of at least five business days. If the forms will be submitted during the execution phase of the guided customer simulation, the modification date must be agreed between the customer and the CBF.
