Denmark: DKK credit balances no longer subject to negative interest rates
Reference
Effective
25 April 2014
customers holding credit balances in Danish Kroner (DKK) in Clearstream Banking1 will no longer be subject to the 0.25% annual penalty rate in force since 22 October 2012.
As a consequence of recent changes in Danish market conditions and the Danish Central Bank’s recent decision to raise the certificate of deposit rate out of negative territory, we will cease to charge negative interest for our customers’ DKK credit balances.
For further information, customers may contact Clearstream Banking Client Services or their Relationship Officer.
