U.S. Ukraine- and Russia-related sanctions update

Clearstream Banking¹ refers to its Announcement A18043 of 10 April 2018 concerning Ukraine -/Russia-related Designations and Identification and the Issuance of Ukraine- and Russia-related General Licenses 12 and 13 of the United States Department of the Treasury of 6 April 2018.

Bridge with Euroclear Bank

Customers are advised that the Bridge between Clearstream Banking S.A. and Euroclear Bank SA/NV has been opened for the following security codes until 6 May 2018:

In addition to the requirements contained in Announcement A18043 that apply to customers entering receive instructions, customers entering delivery instructions over the Bridge must add the following representation into the text of field 70E (DECL) their MT54X instruction:

“We represent that we have verified the identity of the ultimate recipient of the quantity of securities covered by this instruction and that it is neither a U.S. person nor any person who is, or who is equivalent to, a Specially Designated National by the United States Department of the Treasury.”

Domestic Market Settlement

Customers entering both delivery and receive instructions in the following security codes must also add the following representation into the text of field 70E(DECL) of their MT54X instruction:

“We represent that we have verified the identity of the ultimate recipient of the quantity of securities covered by this instruction and that it is neither a U.S. person nor any person who is, or who is equivalent to, a Specially Designated National by the United States Department of the Treasury.”

Sulzer AG

Clearstream Banking has reopened settlement in all eligible codes of securities issued by Sulzer AG with effect from 12 April 2018.
