Kazakhstan: New domestic link
Clearstream Banking1 informs customers that it will implement a domestic link to Kazakhstan on
30 July 2018
The domestic link will initially provide settlement and custody services for Kazakhstan local denominated government bonds issued by the MinFin and short term notes issued by National Bank of Kazakhstan.
Clearstream Banking has appointed Citibank J.S.C. Kazakhstan as its local custodian and cash correspondent bank for the Kazakhstan market.
Impact on customers
Clearstream Banking customers will be able to use the following services:
- Internal free of payment and against payment settlement in all settlement eligible currencies, including the Kazakhstan Tenge (KZT);
- External free of payment settlement;
- Custody and cash reconciliation;
- Asset servicing.
