United Arab Emirates: New working week from Monday to Friday starting 3 January 2022

Clearstream Banking1 would like to inform its customers that with effect from
3 January 2022
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) will adopt a new working week model where the weekend will shift from the current Friday/Saturday to a Saturday/Sunday weekend.
Consequently, Clearstream Banking’s link to the UAE (NASDAQ Dubai) and UAE Dirham (AED) payment services will operate on a Monday to Friday basis.
Settlement instruction deadlines for NASDAQ Dubai and AED cash payment deadlines will both remain unchanged and follow the existing deadlines stated in the Settlement/Cash Timings Matrices and Market Link Guide.
Impact on customers
Customers are requested to take note of the changes and to send timely and proper settlement instructions (with correct Trade and Settlement dates) and cash instructions according to the new working week to Clearstream Banking to avoid processing delays.
