Argentina: The National Securities Commission (CNV) revokes restrictions from Resolutions 907/21 and 911/21

Following Announcement A21105, Clearstream Banking1 would like to inform customers that the National Securities Commission (CNV) published Resolution 923/22 on 4 March 2022.

Effective

7 March 2022

the regulation states that restrictions introduced by Resolutions 907/21 and 911/21 related to the booking of securities transactions versus foreign currency or transfer securities to and from ICSDs have been revoked.

Customers should be aware that that the sworn declaration to be requested by local brokers before being able to book securities transactions versus foreign currency or transfers to and from ICSDs, will no longer be needed as restrictions introduced by Resolution 907/21 have been revoked.

Customers should refer to the attached CNV Resolution 923/22.

Impact on customers

External against payment transactions in ARS remain suspended until further clarification from regulators.

Alternatively, Clearstream Banking customers can settle external transactions on a free of payment basis.

Internal and Bridge transactions are open for settlement in ARS.
