EU Issuance Services (EIS): First issuance by National Bank of Belgium - Update

Clearstream Banking1 informs clients that the National Bank of Belgium (NBB) confirmed that the first issuance using the EU Issuance Service (EIS) will take place on

17 January 2024

It will be a bill auction with a new 6-months bill (ISIN EU000A3K4EQ8) with trade date 17 January 2024 and settlement date 19 January 2024. NBB will act as Issuer CSD.

A tap issuance on the legacy ISIN will occur on the same trade date via the international central securities depositories (ICSDs).

Clearstream Banking will fully support its clients in the EIS.

Impact on clients

Clearstream Banking clients shall ensure that their tax certification is up to date as per Announcement C24003
