Business Continuity Management: New real-time alert service available

Clearstream Banking¹ would like to inform customers that a new Business Continuity Management (BCM) alert service is available to customers, effective immediately.

As part of Clearstream Banking’s continued efforts to improve its BCM process and customer communication services, the real-time alert subscription enhances communication to customers during extraordinary situations. To help customers in incident management, the service will share information about a potential incident and any subsequent related developments, in real time.

Impact on customers

The alert service allows Clearstream Banking customers to receive information in real time about any operational incidents, whether they occur in Clearstream Banking’s systems or any of the 56 domestic markets it serves.

Clearstream Banking customers are invited to subscribe to the new service as soon as possible.

Two alert services are available – customers can choose either or both of the following to suit their Clearstream Banking services:

Alert service for International Central Securities Depository (ICSD) accounts in Clearstream Banking S.A. and 6-series accounts in Clearstream Banking AG, called “BCM information – ICSD”; and
Alert service for CSD accounts in Clearstream Banking AG, called “BCM information – CSD”.

Sign-up process

To sign up to the new alert system, registered Clearstream website users can select this service under the "Real-time Alerts" options in the "Subscriptions" section which appears when clicking on "My Clearstream".

For non-registered Clearstream website users, the website login screen will open. Customers will be requested to log in and will be redirected to the Real-time Alerts subscription page from where they can tick to subscribe to either or both of the alert services.
