T2S Release 5.3 - Scope

Based on the T2S status reporting of mid-January 2022, with the T2S Release 5.3, the resolution of three Problem Ticket is envisaged for a delivery in production. Based on the latest description, no impact on CBF customers is expected. CBF’s assessment shows that the fixes will not require any software changes in CBF.

The PBI below, communicated in the Announcement, dated 10 December 2021, scheduled for the implementation in February 2022, was postponed to the T2S Release 6.0 in June 2022:

  • Description of PBI 218144 - Securities Settlement Transaction
Status Advice has been provided without the pending status reason
A parallelism issue while generating the status advice message has been identified. After the relevant cut-off, when informing about the failing settlement status for a Settlement Instruction with the status "on Hold", the reason code "NORE" is reported in the Securities Settlement Transaction Status Advice (sese.024), if a concurrent update of the Settlement Instruction was initiated.

T2S Release 5.3 – Transition plan

The Market Infrastructure Board (MIB) will decide on the deployment of T2S Release 5.3 in production once the expected results have been shown during testing. The final decision is to be made on Tuesday, 8 February 2022.

The deployment of T2S Release 5.3 into production is planned for business day Monday, 21 February 2022. The implementation of the software will take place during the weekend’s T2S maintenance window. Irrespective of whether CBF has to modify its software, CBF will maintain its link to the T2S Pre-Production environment (UTEST) so that customers can test on their demand. According to the ECB planning, the updated software will be installed on Friday, 21 January 2022 in UTEST.
