KUSTA Data Carrier “CEU Clients”: Additional data field “UCSA-Identifier“
Clearstream Europe AG1 informs clients about the introduction of the additional data field Underlying Customer Segregated Account-Identifier (UCSA-Identifier) in the KUSTA Data Carrier “CEU Clients”. The extension will be implemented with the CEU Release effective business day
15 June 2026
Background
Starting in December 2025, with the activation of Wave 1 markets (Norway and Australia) under the Unified for New Opportunities initiative, CEU clients can benefit from T2S settlement for securities issued in these markets. In addition, counterparties of CEU clients in Clearstream Banking S.A. (CBL), Euroclear Bank and the domestic market can use the UCSA-Identifier to create settlement instructions against CEU clients’ CEU T2S eligible accounts. Further details on the UCSA Identifier Service are available in the Unified for New Opportunities Detailed Functional Specifications, specifically in section 3.3.1.
The UCSA-Identifier is used exclusively for routing and matching purposes.
This announcement describes the introduction of the additional data field “UCSA-Identifier”, which CEU will implement with the June 2026 release in the:
- KUSTA Data Carrier “CEU Clients”; and
- KUSTA Internet File (CEU client in account numbering order).
Extension of the data record with the data field “UCSA-Identifier”
The data field “UCSA-Identifier” will be added to the KUSTA Data Carrier “CEU Clients” as well as to the CEU client in account numbering order (“Internet File”). The field will be added with number 21 at the last position of the file. It will show the alphanumeric five-digit account number in accordance with the Creation account numbering structure.
The table below describes the future layout and structure of the KUSTA Data Carrier “CEU Clients” and the setup of the Internet File. Any changes are shown in bold.

- Shown but not be filled (the field is empty), if the CEU client has not subscribed to the service.
The file size of the KUSTA Data Carrier „CEU clients“ (350 digits) will not change with the introduction of the new five-digits field. The space for further data („filler“) will be reduced from 149 to 144 digits.
The UCSA-Identifier will be part of all three formats CEU clients can subscribe for the KUSTA Data Carrier “CEU Clients”.
CASCADE Online functionality (Host / PC)
The screen in CASCADE Host – BANK-INFORMATION (transaction „KVAV“, function „IA“) will be updated to display the value UCSA-KONTO-NR.
Implementation approach
The publication of the master account data is based on the publication flag defined in the CASCADE Main Account Application Form. Client can choose between the following three publication options:
- All data: Display of all field defined for the KUSTA Data Carrier “CEU Clients”;
- Extended basic data: Display of master account number, T2S Party BIC (BIC11), Legal Entity Identifier (LEI), the name supplied in the legal address of the client the 6-series account and the UCSA-identifier;
- Basic data: Display of master account number, T2S Party BIC (BIC11), Legal Entity Identifier (LEI), 6-series account, and the UCSA-Identifier.
The published field “UCSA-Identifier” is a substantial information for the automated settlement process. Therefore, the field has been added to the basic data and it will be available in all three publication options.
Information regarding the “UCSA-Identifier” will be visible from:
- 15 June 2026 in the KUSTA file provided via the CEU File Service to subscribed clients; and
- 1 July 2026 in the KUSTA Data Carrier “CEU clients” available on the Clearstream website under Client listings.
Client simulation
To allow clients to verify the future format and structure, the following test files will be available under CASCADE Testing and Simulation from May 2026:
- KUSTA Data Carrier “CEU Clients” – Delta Mode;
- Internet File “CEU client in account numbering order”
The test files will be password protected. Interested clients can request the password by emailing UNO@clearstream.com.
Each test file was created according to the requirements for dedicated test scenarios. Therefore, each file contains specific data. The files must be viewed independently, that is, the data is neither harmonised nor compatible.
The content of these files does not correspond to the data stored in the CEU client simulation environment (IMS23). Any modification of client data in this environment would result in inconsistencies and negatively affect subsequent client test activities. Therefore, clients must not compare the data displayed in IMS23 with the test data contained in the files.
Client impact
The use of the data field “UCSA-Identifier” is optional. Clients who automatically process the information can adapt their systems at any time from 15 June 2026, to be able to import and process the UCSA-Identifier.
If CEU clients intend to change the publication flag for their accounts, they can do so by sending a Swift message MT599 with the following text:
“attn. OSM
We (do not) agree to the extended / complete publication of the (basic) account master data for all our /the following accounts we hold with Clearstream Europe AG.”
The text can be adapted to the configuration the client intends to order (cancellation of unnecessary parts, accounts concerned to be mentioned).
