Clearstream Banking1 informs customers that the Financial Act for 2018 has been published in the Official Journal on 31 December 2017. This Act removes the application of the Financial Transaction Tax on intraday transactions, that was supposed to be introduced as of 1 January 2018.
Consequently, the application of the Financial Transaction Tax shall not be extended to intraday transactions with respect to acquisitions realised as from 1 January 2018.
