Xact Web Portal: Credit & Collateral Query

Clearstream Banking¹ will introduce a new Credit & Collateral Query in Xact Web Portal offering real-time credit line and collateral usage.

This is a first step in providing value added services to help customers manage the impacts of CSD Regulations and their daily liquidity and collateral needs.

Customer benefits

• Enhanced visibility of available liquidity and collateral;
• Real-time and next-day forecast information;
• Optimised collateral management on credit and collateral usage and availability across pooled accounts structures (umbrella);
• Increased settlement efficiency due to enhanced collateral allocation;
• Reduced cost due to less securities fails.

The query is available for all types of account structures:

1. Account part of an umbrella account structure
   Positions of the queried account as well as positions of all accounts linked under the umbrella account structure are shown. Customers will be able to see the Used Collateral, Available Collateral and the Total Collateral available under the umbrella account structure. It shows whether the accounts contribute cash or collateral to the umbrella
2. Account NOT part of an umbrella account structure
   Only the positions of the queried account are shown.

The query shows the following information:

Current Credit & Collateral Usage (for the current processing day), including:

• Real-time credit line usage;
• Real-time collateral usage;
• Real-time collateral availability.

Next Day Forecast Credit & Collateral Summary (for the next day value):

• Consolidated forecast totals of cash and securities collateral impact.

Next Day Forecast Credit & Collateral Details (for the next value day) by:

• Security instruction type: internal transactions and external transactions;
• Cash instruction type: pre-advice of funds, withdrawal of funds and foreign exchange.

The Credit & Collateral Query will be available to all customers, with Clearstream Banking S.A. accounts and Clearstream Banking AG 6-series accounts, that have access to Cash & Liquidity in Xact Web Portal.
