Clearstream Banking1 provides customers with an update for the implementation of the Electronic Invoice Distribution service.

The new service will be available for customers effective

1 July 2019

Impact on customers

Customers are advised to consider the change in distribution of the original invoices. The previously suggested solution to make original invoices available on the Billing Portal for electronic invoicing has been renounced (further to Announcement A18105). For the billing period of July 2019, original invoices are sent out to our customers either as PDF attachments via email or as a hard copy via post. It is no longer possible to download the original invoice via the Billing Portal. Copies of the invoices as well as billing reports and other attachments continue to be available via the Billing Portal for registered users.

Customers that are already registered for the Electronic Invoice Distribution service are requested to re-subscribe using the attached form. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Customers that would like to unsubscribe from paper invoices and switch to electronic invoicing may also subscribe in this way.

The original, completed and duly signed Electronic Invoice Distribution form must be sent to the following address:

Clearstream Banking S.A.
Attn: Account Administration Luxembourg (OBC)
L-2967 Luxembourg

On 17 December 2018, Clearstream Banking implemented TLS (Transport Layer Security) for the encryption of email communications, ensuring a safe distribution of the Clearstream Banking invoices as well as other email communication. Unencrypted email traffic poses a threat to Clearstream Banking’s business and the market. With the implementation of mandatory email encryption, Clearstream Banking aims to prevent unauthorised disclosure of information as well as any data loss.

To read Clearstream Banking’s emails seamlessly customers must fulfil the necessary technical requirements. For information on the protection of email communication via TLS, please refer to Announcement C18031.
