Further to our announcements A15164, dated 7 August 2015 and A15197, dated 14 October 2015 Clearstream Banking1 would like to inform customers that effective
immediately
a certification that the instruction refers to trades between different counterparties is no longer mandatory for against payment transactions.
However, the underlying requirement of the Bank of Greece that the respective against payment instructions refer to transfers that are neither portfolio transfers nor transactions with no change of beneficial owner remains fully in place.
Customers are encouraged to continue to add the following statement to the narrative field (:70E::SPRO), “We confirm that this instruction refers to trades between different counterparties”.
There is no change to the requirements for free of payment receipts in Clearstream Banking and the details provided in the customer announcement A15183 dated 17 September 2015 remain in force.
