Colombia: Implementation of T+2 settlement cycle - Postponed

On 17 July 2019, the Colombia Central Counterparty - CCP (Camara de Riesgo Central de Contraparte – CRCC) published Boletin Informativo 085 where it officially announced the postponement, along with the migration of the clearing and settlement of the equities market to settle through the local CCP (CRCC), of the T+2 settlement cycle migration from 2 September 2019 to 6 April 2020.

Background

Following announcement A19028 and A19051 of 5 April 2019, Clearstream Banking1 reminds customers that Colombian Stock Exchange, the BVC, along with the migration of the clearing and settlement of the equities market to settle through the local CCP (CRCC), its settlement cycle planned to migrate from T+3 to T+2 on 2 September 2019.

The BVC has recently confirmed they will postpone the implementation to 6 April 2020.

Impact on customers

Customers are to take into account the date change for implementation.
