Self-collateralisation: Reduced range of permitted eligible securities
Securities eligible for refinancing via for self-collateralisation (SC) ) – a joint service offered by Clearstream Banking Frankfurt1 - are securities admitted for collective safe custody (CSC) taken from the standard list of the ECB (Eligible Asset Database (EAD)) which are not subject to a close-link validation between the SC participant and the issuer of the security.
As of
9 June 2016
the scope of eligible SC securities will be determined technically as follows:
All EAD securities admitted for CSC (published on the ECB website), which do not require a close-link validation, are eligible, that is, the following securities are excluded:
- if the EAD field Issuer Group is '3' or '7' or '11';
- if the EAD field Issuer Group is '4' and the EAD field “Own-use covered bonds” is 'N' or 'N/A' or 'blank';
- if the EAD field Issuer Group is '8' and the EAD field “Own-use covered bonds” is 'N' or 'N/A' or 'blank'; or
- if the EAD field Issuer Group is '9' and the EAD field “Own-use covered bonds” is 'N' or 'N/A' or 'blank' (newly introduced criterion).
