13.03.2024

Clearstream, the Luxembourg-based post-trade business of Deutsche Börse Group is excited to launch a partnership with Mudam, the contemporary art museum of Luxembourg, breathing new inspiration into the Luxembourg financial and art scenes.

In signing the agreement, Clearstream aims to support Mudam, initially for a period of three years, in its values and mission to collect, conserve and present contemporary art, making it accessible to a wide audience.

The partnership adds an exciting new dimension to Clearstream’s corporate engagement in Luxembourg, which already includes the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra Academy (LPOA), and the Private Art Kirchberg initiative, among others. It is also a powerful addition to Deutsch Börse Group’s involvement in art, alongside the Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation, further underlining the company’s commitment to cultural activities.

Mudam was opened in 2006 and houses a collection of some 800 works by over 250 artists from around the world. The museum offers a diverse program of temporary exhibitions, workshops, tours, conferences and cultural events. It strives to serve as a reference museum for contemporary art and to be an iconic museum for Luxembourg in terms of artistic and cultural excellence. Situated in the heart of Europe, with an open and outward-looking vision, Mudam aims to invite engaging public dialogue, establish new collaborations, and initiate daring research.

Anne-Pascale Malréchauffé, Member of the Executive Board of Clearstream Banking Luxembourg said: “As one of the biggest employers in Luxembourg, the promotion of art and culture lies at the heart of our role as a corporate citizen. We are thrilled about our partnership with Mudam, as an inspirational exhibitor and player in the Luxembourg artworld and beyond. Mudam is a site of wonder and encounter, providing spaces for experimentation and the shaping of tomorrow in all its diverse forms, making it the perfect fit for us.”

Bettina Steinbrügge, Mudam director, said: “We are very proud to welcome Clearstream as a new partner of Mudam. This kind of support from corporate partners is essential to us, especially when they are engaged and involved in assisting us to fulfill our mission to collect, conserve and present the most relevant contemporary art of our time and make it accessible to a wide audience.”
