Xact Web Portal: Enhanced Multi Hold and Release functionality for non-cleared stock exchange instructions

Following announcement C21045, Clearstream Banking1 informs customers about further enhancements to the Multi Hold and Release functionality in Xact Web Portal effective on
4 July 2022
Type of instructions
This service will become available for non-CCP Stock Exchange instructions created via the Stock Exchange Transaction Interface (SETI) for securities held in collective safe custody (CSC) and securities held in non-collective safe custody via T2S (NCSC-T).
Enhanced functionality
The functionality has now been enhanced to allow the Party Hold status modification for up to 300 instructions. All Xact Web Portal users with appropriate privileges can modify multiple pending instructions using the File Upload service.
To select instructions, users must perform a query under Settlement, Security Instructions.
Then, from the List view, filter the results by using the “Select from Pages” button, “Instructions eligible for modification”, and further select “Party Hold to No” or “Party Hold to Yes”.
Clicking on either “Party Hold to No” or “Party Hold to Yes” will retrieve the eligible instructions up to 300.
Important note:
If more than 200 instructions need to be modified:
users can click on the "Show total" button to reveal the total number of instructions.
and click on the "more" button to load as many additional rows as needed, by increments of 200 instructions and up to 300 items.
In order to process the selected number of instructions, users have to click on Actions, Request Bulk Action, Request Modification, Party hold - Yes (or Party hold - No depending on the previous action taken).
This selection process will trigger a confirmation request to be validated – Click on “Yes” to proceed further.
Another confirmation request will prompt users to go to the File Upload screen to monitor the actual processing and status of the bulk upload of instructions:
From this point, clicking on “Yes” will take the user to the existing File Upload functionality.
