The Histadrut labour union has called a general strike today, 8 February 2012, after failing to reach an agreement regarding the employment conditions of contract workers.
Impact on customers
The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) and all local banks will be closed. Pre-matching and settlement of trades will not be available today.
