T2S Release R2024.FEB - Scope

Based on the T2S status reporting of 12 September 2023, for T2S Release R2024.FEB four Problem Tickets have been scheduled for a delivery in production. CBF’s assessment related to these Problem Tickets shows that the fixes will not require any changes in CBF’s software. CBF clients operating in DCP or ICP mode can be affected by the following PBI:

PBI 227729: semt.018 with Empty Hold Type

"When two unmatched holds (party hold or CSD hold) over the same transaction (one for each leg of the transaction) are sent to T2S at the very same time (i.e. both included in a file), the processing of both holds in parallel can lead to an incorrect information displayed in the Statement of Pending Instructions semt.018 (ISO and FF), i.e. lack of "PTYH" or "CSDH" as Hold Status in the hold indicator and lack of "PREA-Your instruction is on hold" or "CSDH / CSD Hold" in the Settlement Status reason code and additional info.  As a workaround, holds can be sent separately (i.e. in different files) to avoid the parallel processing."

The experience from previous T2S releases shows that additional tickets can be prioritised and authorised for implementation by the T2S Operational Managers Group (OMG) in the upcoming months. Since the scope for T2S Release R2024.FEB is not final, CBF intends to publish an update to this announcement at the end of January 2024.

T2S Release R2024.FEB – Transition plan

According to the T2S Release Concept, the deployment of T2S Release R2024.FEB into production will occur for business day Monday, 19 February 2024. The implementation of the software will take place during the weekend’s T2S maintenance window.
