Eligible fund types in CBL
Investment funds in the Isle of Man are referred to as Collective Investment Schemes (CIS), and are governed by the Isle of Man Collective Investment Schemes Act 2008 (CIS Act), as amended.
Legal forms which CIS can be structured as include:
- Companies (Incorporated under the 1931 Act Companies or the 2006 Act Companies)
- Unit trusts
- Limited partnership (under the Limited Partnership Act 2011)
CSD-eligible funds – Isle of Man-domiciled funds can be listed in a number of international stock exchanges, and accordingly, they may be made eligible in the respective CSD links through CBL. Please refer to the respective Market Link Guides for more information.
