ISO 20022 rollout for General Meetings – New implementation timeline – Update
Note: This Announcement, originally published on 5 April 2023, has been updated to inform clients about the change of the indicated implementation date. Changes are highlighted.
Clearstream Banking1 decided to split off the implementation of ISO 20022 messaging for General Meetings (GM) from the go-live of ECMS and SCoRE on 8 April 2024.
The decision is based on feedback from clients and partners which have firmly expressed their view requesting to avoid a go-live with the new ISO format in GM peak season to prevent high-risk challenges.
The implementation is now planned for
18 November 2024
The postponement will allow all participants further time for preparation to enable a smooth and seamless implementation.
Impact on clients
All clients will have to be ready to receive GM messages and instruct in ISO 20022 as of November 2024. The existing ISO 15022 messages for GMs will be decommissioned.
ISO 20022 messages will be exchanged via SwiftNet FINplus.
For clients using the Xact Web Portal, Clearstream Banking will implement a meeting event subdomain allowing to receive meeting notifications and send instructions accordingly.
Further information
Detailed implementation information including client testing and migration approach will be provided in due course.
